Newsletter 01/18

September 2018

Valued donors, supporters and volunteers,

A lot has happened in the Himalayas since the earthquake disaster 3 years ago. However, the mountain population in the affected regions is still suffering from the serious consequences.

The mentality and bravery of the inhabitants impress us again and again. They do not complain, but remain positive, hard-working and confident, and our help is greatly appreciated.

We are ready for the autumn mission, a medical care camp lasting several days is planned again. This year it will take place in the village of Kashigaon, with doctors from Switzerland and Nepal, a dentist, nurses and various assistants and specialists.

The construction of a central medical facility is also under intensive investigation and consideration. If we are financially able, it will probably be built in Machhakhola. It seems important and necessary to us that the inhabitants of the settlements also have a permanent contact point for health problems. This institute would later be taken over by the government and sustainably cared for.

In recognition, dear supporters, we are aware that such partial successes would not be possible without you! Much could be achieved with voluntary and honorary commitment. Step by step the population may return closer to normality, but there is still a lot to do to improve their quality of life.

We are looking forward to the forthcoming opening and inauguration of the school building in Kashigaon.

Despite the strong monsoon this year, work has been diligent and cooperative. There are now 532 children in a total of five schools built by our relief organisation Earth C-Air.

We are very grateful for every donation, which contributes to the realization of further aid projects and furthermore very motivated and full of energy to be able to realize meaningful help.

Thank you very much for your support and the trust you have placed in us

Namaste und vielen Dank! Merci! Grazie! Thank you!
