Dear donors, supporters and helpers
On the 25 April 2015 - 5 years ago today - the earthquake in Nepal brought devastation and misery. We wanted to offer the affected population a perspective and founded the aid organisation Earth C-Air. With your donation we have achieved a lot in the last five years. Thank you! Health, education and rescue: Earth C-Air will continue to concentrate its help in these directions.
Our direct aid on the local level will continue to be necessary in the future. Regular training and further education of the local rescue teams guarantee safe and professional operations in the Himalayan mountains. In January we conducted the annual rescue training. The local crew was specially trained to search for avalanche victims and fire-fighting operations. In order to provide efficient help in an emergency, the entire Simrik-Air team including flight assistants was trained. Many thanks to the experienced experts Beat Marti and Robi Hurschler for their voluntary work.
In the near future we will pay special attention to our hospital project in Khorlabesi. The site for the hospital was flattened at the beginning of February. Our construction specialist Sandro Guinand made further clarifications on the site. The effects of the corona measures have also left their mark on our direct aid. The borders in Nepal are closed. Fortunately the Nepalese people are not too badly affected by Covid-19. Thanks to our close contact on site, contractors for the hospital could be chosen in the meantime. Detailed plans such as the sewerage system, electrical installations or the choice of building materials are currently being worked out by e-mail. We are confident that the situation will return to normal after the summer monsoon.
